Image Spam - the new headache
Sometime back, Amit Agarwal of Digital Inspirations had written about this new way Spammers have been using to intrude Spam filters, including those of Gmail. Yes, indeed, I am a victim of this too.
Such messages have something very 'important' outside the image, and all of the intended SPAM is within an image, text which mail servers cannot read, and hence cannot bypass.
There is this new software called MXtreme Mail firewall, which has exclusive security filters for image spam. The website claims that over 35 percent of SPAMs today are images, something that seems very likely given the number of image SPAMs I alone get!!
