Need your comments - Is this acceptable?

Hollywood star, Richard Gere has been in news in the Indian media all over the past one and a half weeks. This comes after he kissed Shilpa Shetty ( the Indian actress of the Big Brother fame!) during a show on AIDS awareness.

An Indian court surprisingly issued a warrant against him for public obscenity, though that is most likely to be thrashed by the High Court. All along in the media, common Indian citizens have called for a halt to this overhyped news about something as simple as a kiss..

I do understand Gere did not understand local norms, and all the hype around this was uncalled for. But, will women take to things as this normally in your country. It is just a question?
