A tomato cut into two halves and rubbed all over the face or the pieces of potato cut into pieces and soaked in cold water and then applied over the face could bring a change in the fairness of the individual.
• A capsule of Vitamin A or E mixed with almond oil or coconut oil when applied will bring immediate results.
• Slices of cucumber when placed over the eyes bring immediate relief to the tiring eyes and also help in removing darkness around the eyes.
• Grapes could also do wonders in enhancing the complexion of the individual. If the seeds of grapes are rubbed regularly or its juice is taken on a regular basis, the results would be fruitful.
• The excessive of darkening could also be removed by rubbing the lemon directly on the skin . This could also yield good results.


Apart, from the above mentioned few remedies excessive intake of fruits, salads and green vegetables in the diet and lot of clean drinking also helps in getting the clean, healthy and fair skin.

LASIK Eye Surgery Procedure

LASIK stands for Laser Assisted in situ Keratomileusis. Keratomileusis is the pathological condition of the eye wherein there is abnormal refractive index of eye. Kerato- means cornea which is situated in the anterior part of eye. It is a thin transparent front layer of eye that refracts the light into the interior part of the eye. LASIK is the type of eye surgery indicated for patients suffering from myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

The underlying principle for LASIK surgery is a thin flap is created in corneal tissue and the tissue remodeling is done by adequate amount of LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) beam. The flap is repositioned carefully according to the degree of refraction needed for the abnormality. The eye is left to heal for few weeks.

In preoperative stage the patient is advised to stop using contact lens 5 to 21 days before the surgery and the cornea is thoroughly examined by the surgeon. As postoperative care is vital, the patients are given antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Most of the complications of the surgery occur during postoperative stage and thus the patients are advised to consult their surgeons often during this period. Some of the complications of the surgery are surgery induced dry eyes, visual acuity, light sensitivity and decentered ablation.
