Rawalpindi Express is ten years old

November 29 1997 - This was the day Shoaib Akhtar, the Pakistani paceman made his debut against West Indies. Wow, what a decade it has been. While on paper, he has always been on the speed lane, Akhtar is much more than that. He is more known for his off the field exploits and spats; something of which does add up to his character on the field.

Pakistani cricket may not be in the best of times these days, but Akhtar is liked not just by Pakistanis, but by all those wannabe-attitudish people all over. So, nothing bad in wishing the man 'Happy Ten years' for the day. Hopefully, he shall not celebrate with cocaine ;)
