Rain saves India?

The first test between India and England ended in a draw amidst wide remarks that India would have lost had it not been for the rain. While I do accept with that fact quite candidly, one must also remember that this is probably the first time when rain was favorable to the Indian team. On so many occassions in the past, opponent teams either won or drew the match against India solely because of rain!
