Financing for home

We recently decided to purchase a INR 4000K worth home interior in the city. The house builders have a good reputation. However, for such a huge sum, financing does look like a big problem. I contacted my banker friend, and he asked me to first have a look at the basics from some credible websites. I did go through some pages on Home Loans and other things like Debt Consolidation.

Not that I am now cent percent confident about going it, but I now have the basic knowledge to proceed further, thanks to the online resource.
