Is Google Image Search Legal?

In some ways not. According to copyright laws, it is illegal to display content from a different website on your own site; commercial or otherwise. Now, what Image search (or for that matter, Cache) does is use a frame to display content from other websites. Now, can that be termed illegal?

Well, we need to have an expert opinion on that, but I think it is illegal..
